Industrial Training Report (9-13 MEI)

  This second week, i have a task to to process the telegram.

this is the process of telegram :
    • Get  from assmkl
    • Telegram machine will send the telegram for west Perak (  Ipoh, Kampar, Sungai Siput, Chemor, Batu Gajah and Sitiawan)
    • Separate and divide to each state and post office (19 post office in west Perak)
    •  key in  the information to 3 excel ( name, id number, service number and location)
    • Put in the envelope and stamp it 
    • Postman will take it 2 times per day. morning and evening
    •  If telegram not complete , we must col AMSSKL ( Automatic Message Service System Kuala Lumpur ) to resend the telegram immediately ( re-run). This telegram process are  difficult and it took a couple of hours to settle it.. Another practical student and I have to divide time  to do this work because we have other task to finish it.  Doing this telegram , we MUST always connected with AMSSKL  because telegram must to send immediately  . This is because telegram are send from customer  in urgent case. The case we have to make action immediately is dead, sick, interview, and cargo items .
    Maybe doing this telegram is like out of date and technology, but in some of area, it still not have good    coverage to contact using telephone,internet or so on.

    Customer Service Representative
    In this second week, I have given an opportunity to handle customer service at TM point Ipoh Wisma. The supervisor in Customer care, Puan  Jah Aini took me at customer service and briefly explain to me how to handle customer problem at sales department.
